Since 2022, Matteo has been a business associate at KUKUMAJSA PRODUCTIONS and has also worked with the camera departments on several international productions, including 1923, DEATH AND OTHER DETAILS, and ALEX RIDER.

Selected as one of Arts Council Malta’s artists to participate in ARTIVISTI (2022-2023), Matteo developed and wrote AMIR, a short screenplay inspired by the experiences of LGBTIQ+ refugees living in Malta. AMIR is currently in development.
